This is Mary.

Two men are in love with her.

One man is tall and thin.

The other man is short and stout.

The tall man asks Mary to marry him.

Then the short man asks Mary to marry him.

She doesn't know who to choose!

So she goes to the medicine woman.

"A tall man has asked me to marry him."

"What will happen if I marry him?"

The medicine woman looks into a dream.

"If you marry the tall man, you will have many children."

Satisfied, Mary goes home.

So Mary marries the tall man.

And has many children.

Years later, Mary reads that the short man died in a car accident.

She thinks, "What would have happened if I had married the short man?"

So Mary returns to the medicine woman.

"What would have happened if I had married the short man?"

The medicine woman looks into a dream.

"If you had married the short man, you would have made a lot of money."

"But I would have been very angry with you, and never talked to you again!"

"Why's that?!?"

"Because the short man was MY husband!"
